Body Centered Therapy integrates talk therapy with techniques that bring your body into counseling as a therapeutic resource. Your body holds valuable knowledge to your condition as it carries physical and emotional stressors that you may not be aware of. By turning to the body during therapy, you are able to work through issues and develop a better connection with your body.
Relaxation Techniques can include any number of ideas; Mindfulness and Biofeedback, to Progressive Relaxation Technique. All of these techniques have a few things in common; they decrease stress, help manage pain, and assist you in gaining a greater sense of self empowerment.
